Atlantic Millwrights Inc. was founded in 1980 by the Kirby family in Woburn, Mass. Since then the companies headquarters has moved to North Reading, Mass.  As industrial contractors AMI has expanded its services to include turnkey plant design & relocations offering electrical and pipe fittings, millwrighting, rigging, crane service, trucking, welding and metal fabrication.   A combination of a highly skilled workforce, specialized equipment and attention to safety details allows AMI to become a leader in millwright and rigging services as well as plant design and layout services.  Together, our engineers, project managers and wide range of staff, constitute a formidable resource for managing and executing projects of all sizes.  We pride ourselves on doing the project safety, on time and on budget.   Serving Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Rhode Island, Vermont, Connecticut, Continental United States as well as international work. We approach each new project with the intent of developing a lasting relationship.   Safety   Atlantic Millwrights safety program starts with the proper personnel to get the project done safely, on time and on budget. Our health and safety program coordinator assists with on sight safety inspections as well as upgrading and training AMI personnel in the latest OSHA standards. AMI has a written safety program as well as ongoing safety training. That includes the standard 10 hour OSHA safety course. AMI also works with our customer specific needs for different safety environments.
